The Philadelphia 76ers had a big scare on Saturday night as their first overall pick in the 2017 draft sprained his left ankle. Markelle Fultz was playing in just his second Summer League game tonight, when in the third quarter Fultz made a block attempt and in doing so stepped on the back foot of Jabari Brown. Immediately his left ankle turned and Fultz fell to the floor in pain. He would later be helped to his feet by his teammates and helped to the locker room putting zero weight on his left foot. He wouldn't return.
The 76ers later tweeted out that Fultz had a sprained ankle and would be treated accordingly,
Also, on the same play the 76ers also had another injury take place. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot suffered a lip laceration after being hit in the face while trying to defend. He also didn't return.
