The Cleveland Cavaliers announced today that an MRI confirmed a left ankle sprain for guard George Hill. Hill left Friday night's game with the injury and did not return. The team also stated that Hill's status would be updated when appropriate and that he would be undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
The Boston Celtics announced that point guard Kyrie Irving will miss the next 3-6 weeks after successful knee surgery today.

Celtics guard Kyrie Irving today underwent a minimally-invasive procedure to remove a tension wire in his left knee. The wire was originally placed as part of the surgical repair of a fractured patella sustained during the 2015 NBA Finals. While removal of the wire should relieve irritation it was causing in Irving’s patellar tendon, the fractured patella has fully healed and Irving’s knee has been found to be completely structurally sound. Irving is expected to return to basketball activities in 3-6 weeks.
The Orlando Magic announced the team has signed Rodney Purvis to a second 10-day contract. Purvis has appeared in five games averaging 3.8 points.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed center Emeka Okafor to a 10-day contract. Okafor played in 26 games for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA G-League this season. The Philadelphia 76ers announced Markelle Fultz will miss at least the next 2-3 weeks as he deals with shoulder problems.
76ers Medical update
Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz was examined and evaluated today by Dr. Ben Kibler, Medical Director of the Shoulder Center of Kentucky at the Lexington Clinic, for the soreness and scapular muscle imbalance that he has been experiencing in his right shoulder. The soreness is dissipating and the muscle balance is improving, and Fultz will continue with physiotherapy and begin progressing toward full basketball activities. Fultz will be re-evaluated in approximately two to three weeks. His return to gameplay will be determined by how the shoulder responds to progressive basketball training and practices in the interim.
The NBA announced today that Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd has been fined $15,000 for public criticism of officiating. Kidd made his comments after the Bucks lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
