It was a great pitching game from both Yu Darvish and Zack Wheeler.
Darvish was dominate as he allowed just three hits and three runs. Jay Bruce was the only player that could get to Darvish as he powered home two home runs. Darvish went 7.1 innings with no walks and nine strikeouts.
For Wheeler, this was his best start of he season as he was able to get through a very difficult Rangers lineup. Zack would go seven strong innings allowing six hits on three walks. Sadly Zack couldn't get the win with the bullpen unable to hold on to the lead.
In the end a very questionable error charged to Rougned Odor led to the Mets picking up the leading run in the ninth. Addison Reed would seal the deal in the ninth to pick up his ninth save of the season and a very critical win for the Mets.
